FOOD AND DRINK IN SOUTH DEVON

With such a long stretch of coastline skirting so much of South Devon, it’s inevitable that seafood is one of the main offerings when eating out in this part of the county.  The best eateries offer fresh fare of all types, caught as recently as can be, and tasting fabulous thanks to the artistry and knowledge of the chefs.  But non-seafood lovers must not despair, since the selection of alternatives is very broad and varied, and superbly fresh too, since South Devon has farms that produce quite excellent meat, vegetables and fruit, and this produce is being celebrated more and more by those creative cooks who take pleasure in feeding their guests the tastiest of meals.  In recent years, alongside the vast improvement in local cuisine, there has also been a surge in the number of drinks producers, so finding a beverage, alcoholic or non-alcoholic, that has been produced within just a few miles of where you’re eating, is not difficult at all nowadays.
